Yesterday my paypal account was hacked into which is actually annoying as hell….. not only is a good amount of money missing, the shock of the whole dilema was even worth. At least the people at paypal were very helpful and I hope that the issue will be resolved soon and I will get my money back *triestostaypositive*.

Well, on to more positive news. I updated my etsy store with quite a lot of new rovings and one new colorway of my woolnepps :)

Don’t you just hate humidty and heat ?! What better thing to do than to spin some new yarns and drink a cold, cold iced tea while doing so :) Anyway, here are some new ones:

  1. Citronella : Merino Tencel yarn, 2 ply, 160 yds, Worsted Weight
  2. Fairy Dust: “Fairydust” are 2 beautiful soft and shiny skeins handspun 2ply yarn. The first skein has approx 200 yds the second one approx 160 yds. The skeins are plied with a golden thread for some additional sparkle.- 360 yds
    - Merino, Corriedale, Wensleydale, Alpaca
    - 2 ply
    - sportweight

I hope you guys had a great weekend !

Take care

I have been trying to do some different yarns again, kind of throwing everything I like in my drumcarder and spin it up in a way that feels natural to the different fibers and bits and pieces. Here are some of my results :)

“The Cow in the Fields”

80 yards handspun super bulky artsy yarn, made out of various locks and rovings (all from animal friendly farms), and I also added lots of sparkle, some faux cow skin fabric and some commercial novelty yarn pieces for some added texture and color.

I have been spinning new yarns like crazy, trying some new techniques and I actually managed to use some of my yarn for smaller projects and don’t list them immediately on etsy for sale. It was a nice change :)

So here they are, or at least some of them:

I have to try to be more active again in my blog, I really miss writing and sharing my new photos. So here it goes: some of my recent rovings and yarns :)

Some Rovings:

Some new spinning batts:

and finally some yarns:

Today the weather was finally good enough to photograph some of the new yarns I made over the last couple of weeks. Some funky ones and also more traditional spun yarns.

Fun with Colors: 110 yds bulky, thick and thin made out of beautiful roving I purchased on etsy from TerraBellaSpun .

Golden Green: 70yds heavy worsted, plyed with a golden thread throughout.

Magic Carpet: blend of Wool, Mohair,Tussah Silk, Bamboo & Silver Sparkle fibers

some new yarns from me. Some of them are already sold, some are still available in my etsy store and others are ready to be knitted up into something new by me :D

This first one is calles astrid and is a 2 ply Merino/Silk yarn in pink and dark purple colors. 320 yds sportweight:

The second one is spun from one of my surprise batts, where I card in everything I can find and like. This one is made out of mill ends, baby alpaca, bamboo and some commercial novelty yarn bits. It’s very fluffy and soft. 70 yds thick and thin:

The next to skeins are made out of handpainted BFL roving and are called “A day at the Circus”. 290 yds heavy worsted:

So tha’s the update for today !

Take care

I have a little Merino Sale in my Etsy Store. Each 4 oz roving for only 11.50 USD instead of the regular 15.00 USD.  The sale will go on for about a week. I need to make some room for new colorways I am working on. So grab the rovings while they last. If you have any questions please contact me !

Also if you use the PromoCode : artricblog when you check out for payment, you will receive free shipping on your purchase !

I’ve got lots and lots of new yarns coming up. The main reason is that I need some more space and in the end yarns stores easier than all the dyed rovings :) Here are some new ones:

They are called “Enchanted” and “Cozy” and are both a 2ply blue face leicester yarn, fingeringweight to sport.

So I’m finally back from Vegas. Besides the long travel we had a blast. I even managed to make us some money on the roulette table *lol*. Anyway, here are some photos from the trip and to keep at least some fiberart in the post some photos of new yarns.
